I'm a bestselling developmental editor, line editor, copyeditor, and proofreader of 300+ books for major publishing houses, academic publishers, indie/hybrid publishers, and authors at all stages of the writing and publishing process, including Oxford University Press, Penguin Random House, Doubleday, Simon & Schuster, Scribe Media, Amazon Publishing, Capstone, Forbes Books, Lioncrest, and many others.
I'm with you all the way: I'll catch your missing comma, fix your frustrating plot hole, and help you organize all your last-minute thoughts that you know are important but can't figure out where they fit. I'll tell you what makes you special and what will make you stand out, as well as what may not resonate with your audience.
I'm fast and fair priced--and above all, empathetic.
My career began at age four when I founded the hard-hitting periodical The Children's Noos, and my editing career began soon after that when my parents bought me a dictionary so I could learn how to spell the word “news.”
I spent my early years working in fiction, and I love projects with creative or distinctive voices—so whatever makes you stand out from the crowd, I want more of that. And if you’re a weirdo like me, all the better!
In my free time, I volunteer with a local parrot rescue and serve on their board of directors. I also watch an overabundance of baseball and sometimes write stuff.
